Experience: Peter Biegelbauer is Senior Scientist at the Center for Innovation Systems and Policy of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna and lecturer at the University of Vienna, Austria. He holds degrees in political science from the University of Vienna (Mag., Dr.), MIT (S.M.) and the University of Innsbruck (PD). His research work focuses on public policy analysis, science, technology and innovation policy, social learning in decision-making, knowledge and expertise in decision-making, regulatory impact assessment and qualitative methods. For several years he has concentrated on policy evaluation and the possibilities of learning from experience in policy making, publishing his habilitation thesis „Wie lernt die Politik - Lernen aus Erfahrung in Politik und Verwaltung“ in 2013 with Springer VS, Wiesbaden.
