Digital Archive – development and integration of existing technology

DME has developed a tool that integrates a number of state-of-the-art technologies: the YUMA Universal Multimedia Annotator. YUMA provides a uniform annotation framework for different types of multimedia content, based on established Web standards. The YUMA annotation client is entirely browser based and provides free-text annotation and semantic tagging capabilities for images as well as audio and video content. For the annotation of digitised maps, it additionally provides basic geographically-related features such as place search or export of annotations to a geographical data format. YUMA can be provided as a hosted solution through our Software as a Service (SaaS) model. See our online demonstrator here:
