UWEDAT LAN - Station Computer
The UWEDAT station computer is the heart of an outstation. It controls the automatic data acquisition with the monitoring instruments as well as the forwarding to the monitoring network centre.
Hardware and software of the UWEDAT LAN system are a proprietry development enabling the special requirements of an on-site data collection system to be fulfilled. With minimum weight (1400g) and power consumption (2.5 watts) it offers a maximum of connectivity:
Connectivity: |
|---|
TCP/IP and widely used field buses such as Modbus TCP/IP and Profibus PA |
classical Bayern Hessen protocol via up to 8 serial interfaces (RS232 or RS485) |
New in environmental data collection: CAN Controller Area Network |
UWEDAT LAN computes mean values on a half hourly basis as well as at variable intervals. But a wide range of computational types are available, for example the arithmetic mean, minimum, maximum, sum and various types of processing for wind. The monitored values are secured in a failsafe data memory and conveyed to the centre via a polling process triggered by the centre.
