The Industry Day organised by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology offered system operators and industry a platform for exchanging experiences and networking in the field of Smart Grids. The event took place in Vienna on 11th September as part of the international EDST 2015 symposium.
The presentations of this year‘s Industry Day addressed the highly topical subject of flexibility within energy systems with a focus on flexible power grids and energy markets. The topics covered include virtual power plants, electric storage systems, and innovative network components and systems for integrating flexible prosumers into the electricity infrastructure. Companies from these business segments showcased their innovative solutions and products in the accompanying exhibition.
The Industry Day and the exhibition were part of the International Symposium on Smart Electric Distribution Systems and Technologies (EDST 2015, 7 - 11 September) supported by IEEE and CIGRE.
