This project analyses the consequences of a possible change of the Austrian work approval method for the longitudinal evenness of road pavements from the current Planograph method to the weighted Longitudinal Profile (WLP). This new indicator is supposed to provide a better assessment of both long-distance periodic unevenness and strongly localized unevenness. Recommendations for the introduction and its impact on asset management are derived from direct comparison of the two methods.
