EFFEL- Effizienzoptimaler Antrieb für Elektrobus

The overall efficiency of the drive for an electric bus should be significantly increased by anenhanced operational strategy as well as an improved design of the electrical machine andthe inverter. Modeling and computation of the total losses will enable a highly efficient tuningof the machine and inverter operation by using different degrees of freedom in the drivecontrol, resulting in a reduction of the total losses. In order to avoid negative impact of theefficiency enhancements on the lifetime of the drive, bearing currents induced by the inverteroperation will be investigated and assessed experimentally.
