EFFEL- Effizienzoptimaler Antrieb für Elektrobus

The overall efficiency of the drive for an electric bus should be significantly increased by an enhanced operational strategy as well as an improved design of the electrical machine and the inverter. Modeling and computation of the total losses will enable a highly efficient Tuning of the machine and inverter operation by using different degrees of freedom in the drive control, resulting in a reduction of the total losses. In order to avoid negative impact of the efficiency enhancements on the lifetime of the drive, bearing currents induced by the inverter operation will be investigated and assessed experimentally.
