The Semantic Enhancement of the WebDAV protocol and New Paradigms for the Organization of Unstructured Content (SemDAV) project aimed to simplify information management by overcoming limitations of traditional file systems, while at the same time defining a standards-based (WebDAV and XML-RPC) protocol for transmitting semantic information.

The project was funded under the 3. FIT-IT Semantic Systems call and ran from November 2006 to October 2008. The Vienna IT firm P.Solutions Informationstechnologien GmbH was the industrial partner driving the project and is marketing the project results.
