70 percent of the world population will be living in cities by 2030, according to UN prognoses. The challenges for urban regions and agglomerations in terms of sustainable city planning and mobility are huge. In Asia and Africa cities are growing extremely quickly, but also in Europe we are facing an ever increasing concentration of urban space. The AIT is positioniing itself as a strong partner for economical and political entities to develop solutions for smarten resilienten Städte von morgen zu entwickeln.
The URBAN FUTURE global conference, from February 28th to March 1st in Vienna is one of the world-wide biggest meeting of CityChangers – with 400 participating cities, 200 speakers and more than 50 panels for discussion. The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology informs at the URBAN FUTURE and discusses with international experts during the session „Roles of the public versus the private sector in Smart City transformation: Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East“.
You can find the AIT at stand 31 informing about artificial intelligence for sustainable city plannung or on how citizen participation with augmented reality ican be done in the future. Mobility solutions are presented at the example of the projects SIMULATE, EXPERIENCE, PLAN, MODE, SMART SURVEY und IMPACT.
